Macys On Carl Place Long Island N.y

Thailand.

In Bangkok in Thailand, there are two amazing places, two markets, which we discovered thanks to a nice video shot by Terje Sorgjerd . Maeklong The market has existed for decades. It remained relatively undisturbed until the creation of the railroad Maeklong, when contrary to what happens in other parts of the world, there has been no government intervention and no law of eminent domain that has forced sellers to move to another place.

The result? Every day the train passes through Maeklong Maeklong Railway, eight times a day, seven days a week. The trains run literally in the middle of the market, forcing sellers to the withdrawal of awnings and the goods, and buyers to find a place to get out of the track that serves as their only path.

Immediately after the passage of the train, the awnings are rearranged in their original position, to protect people and goods from the heat of the midday sun. The containers of fish, fruit and vegetables are repositioned in the market activity resumed as if nothing had happened.

The Market from Terje on Vimeo .

The second part of the video shows instead the floating market of Damnoen Saduak: small "khlongs" (channels) are crowded with boats full of flat goods, governed by ladies ready to stop and bargain at the mention of a possible buyer.

With Giavasan.
